Spring Trend: Sporty-Chic Spice

TREND #10: Sporty-Chic Spice

Though super-girly looks were big on the runways, so were tomboyish and refreshingly sporty looks – with a luxe and vintagey twist. Trainers, sporty wedges and slip-ons, t-shirt dresses, cropped bottoms like capris, bermudas and cargos with boyish proportions, and our beloved hoodies (and now anoraks) in new swingcoat shapes are all street-chic for spring – a relief to on-the-go urbanites everywhere.

Also big? Dresses with pockets, keeping more ladylike looks laidback and casual-cool. Another trend this season: colorblock, which ties in nicely with all of the fresh, sporty looks for spring. A new accessory to bag is, believe it or not, a backpack (visors and ballcaps also popped up). Proceed sparingly and with caution.
