Remember the BEFORE PICS? And how no one wanted me to even touch the closet?!

Faux Peonies in Marble Pot: Shay Geyer x IBB | Best the Best Version of Yourself print: Minted | Pink Flamingo print: Minted | Jewelry Box: Couture Lamps

This week was really all about assembling furniture and getting everything in and up in the room that has arrived so far. It’s been a real family affair with everyone pitching in. Thank goodness because it could not be done alone. Well, not in 6 weeks anyway!

The art from Minted arrived — there are SO many good pieces! — so I’ve been playing around with what should go where. Kaylee really wanted this Be the Best Version of Yourself print (I LOVE that!) and we both thought the vanity area was the perfect place to hang it. Speaking of…

SPOILER ALERT: Somebody has already broken in her vanity! I was in the living room unpacking boxes when I caught her doing her hair in the mirror. My heart… 🙂 You can also see a sneak peek of the bed and bedding here.

She went back and forth on whether she wanted the room to be a surprise or not, and ultimately decided she would rather have a say and help with the room. So she’s seen a good portion and is leaving the very last details to me, so it can also be a bit of a surprise.

Audrey Hepburn Bubblegum Art Print on top of a headboard

Bed: Overstock | Art: Etsy (also here)| Bedding: Overstock

Here’s another peek! I LOVE the headboard and so does Kaylee. Also, that Audrey print! It’s funny because Fred Baby used this photo in his original rendering of the room, just as a place holder for art above the bed. Both Kaylee and I loved it, so I tracked down where you can buy it here + here.

Tip: It comes on flat, unstretched canvas (not wrapped or framed). I didn’t have time to send it out to get it framed, but Fred Baby and my Dad came to rescue with an easy, fast and inexpensive solution! You can buy the stretcher bars at Hobby Lobby. And then have Michaels stretch the canvas onto them. Altogether, it cost under $25 + was done in 2 days!

I Don’t Know Where I’m Going but I’m on my Way print: Minted | Palm Trees print: Minted | Lamp: Couture Lamps

I feel like I’ve already shared too much, but here’s a sneak peek at the gallery wall going up above the dresser.

Kaylee got a kick out of the I Don’t Know Where I’m Going but I’m on My Way print from Minted! Pretty much my life motto. 😉 Also, a sneak peek of what just may be my favorite lamp ever!

Okay, what do we think so far?

Stay tuned NEXT WEEK for the BIG REVEAL!!!

I’ll be sure to share on my Stories too, so follow along there!
