Happy Monday, my dears! How do you dress for the work week? Recently the kind people at LOFT invited me to participate in a skirt-styling challenge. Given that nine times out of ten, you can find me in a dress (they’re just so easy – you don’t have to coordinate much of anything!), I thought it seemed like a challenge I needed to take. Plus, at those times that I do ponder what life would be like working out of an office, I of course daydream about what I would wear.
Here, my take on professional-chic (you know, if glittering heels are allowed in an office environment, that is)…
What do you think: Could you wear this to your office? At the very least, it makes for a fun look for a date out with your darling dearest.
Skirt: LOFT Colorblock Cotton Shift Skirt c/o; Sweater: LOFT Cotton Striped 3/4 Sleeve Sweater c/o (I’ll be living in this); Tank: Kelly Wearstler (no longer available but similar here); Shoes: Zara Laminated Heel Sandal (love these but be warned one of the gold strips is already popping off, so they might have to go back); Bag: Cambridge Satchel Co.; Sunnies: SEE (old but similar here and here); Chainlink Bracelet: LOFT Metal and Pave Link Stretch Bracelet (love this and can’t believe the quality for the price) c/o; Cuff: Kelly Wearstler (no longer available but similar here); Cuff (on left arm): Kristen McCloud c/o; Bracelet: Neiman Marcus (old but similar here) c/o
p.s. A note on LOFT sizing: I found that in skirts, sizing runs one or two sizes large. Here, I’m wearing a size 2, but rolled my waistband (remember doing that after leaving the house in high school?) and exchanged for a size 0 instead). My sweater is a size small.
