Last night, I attended a pre-LA Fashion Week party hosted by Two Point Oh LA at The Falls downtown. Two Point Oh LA is an organization that unites LA fashion, beauty and style bloggers and social media mavens, while seeking to help promote LA designers and the local fashion community. I’m proud to be a member.

It’s always fun to play dress up and, this time, the dress had special meaning — it was one of a handful that I bought as a possible wedding dress! This one is vintage Geoffrey Beene that I found at City Opera in New York. It has sparkly arms and I thought it could work for our Central Park in February wedding. Instead, I ended up wearing a short white dress that night — that nobody ever saw because it was 18 degrees outside and under my white coat! — so I was happy to finally wear this dress for the first time in five years (crazy, I know). I tossed on a faux fur jacket, my White House Black Market bow ring, chevron-patterned tights and sky-high Nine West heels. I carried a Kate Spade patent clutch and that’s a Kate Spade iPhone case you see above too.

The Falls was a pretty little rustic-chic spot, with wood logs, glass chandeliers and fresh cocktails. Two Point Oh LA’s founder Kelsi Smith of the blog Dedicated Follower of Fashion can be seen above and below honoring two LA designers, Chelsea Rebelle and Mila Hermanovski (remember her from Project Runway, she made it to the finale to show at Bryant Park in season 7?). I chatted with my fashion blogger pals Eileen Lee of La Lovetta and ModelWire Network and DIY maven Kristen Turner of Glitter ‘N Glue (she also happens to be one of Selena Gomez’s stylists – uh oh, did I catch Bieber Fever?!).

I thought this Minnie Mouse-esque bow dress by Chelsea Rebelle was adorable. And you know how I feel about black and white (Mila’s signature).

Of course, no evening (in my book) is complete without something sweet. So darling K and I popped on over to the Nickel Diner. Oh yeah, you know, that one.

It would be the place where I would lose my bacon doughnut virginity.

And where I downed my first homemade pop tart. A tart I felt like, indeed. Was it worth it? Well, I’ll leave you with this…

Wishing you such enlightenment always…
