When we were in San Francisco this past week, I fell in love with this pink Christmas tree. It’s like the flamingo version of a Christmas tree! It broke my heart not to be able to bring it back home with us (it didn’t fit in my carry-on and it was an ouch-inducing $185). So, the minute we got back to LA, I started to search eBay to see what I could find…and lo and behold, the very same pink feather Christmas tree starting at just $30! I instantly added it to my Vintage Christmas collection (cross your fingers that I win it!).
Do you know about MYHABIT, Amazon’s private flash-sale site where you can shop designer fashion and home décor for up to 75% off?
Truth be told, I never seem to be able to get it together in time to fashion a Halloween costume or make any solid plans, however a Halloween movie night is totally doable, even for the slow-of-heart, like me.
Today I’m sharing ideas on how to host a Halloween movie night over on Postmark. Continue reading
My proclivity for all things vintage, unique and one-of-a-kind is no secret. In fact, it’s one big fat bold reason I L-O-V-E Palm Springs (the vintage shopping is insane). But when I want to expand my treasure-hunting horizons beyond my beloved desert, I like to able to search the world all from one spot (my couch!) by browsing the big fat interwebs. Bar carts, party dresses and peacock chairs are my jam, the sweet sauce of the Kelly Golightly lifestyle, if you will. My name is Ms. Kelly Golightly, and I’m a covetaholic.
Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? While I’m mostly dying to crawl into bed and hibernate for the next 36 hours, I am thrilled to share some fun news: Kelly Golightly has been nominated for Best Lifestyle Blog!
Here’s the scoop & how you can win a $500 shopping spree to Lamps Plus… Continue reading
There have been several seemingly little things we’ve been trying to get in order at home lately…silverware, glasses, cookware (more on that in a bit) — and a few of those little things have actually made quite a huge impact. One of those things? Pillows.
Let’s dish, shall we? Joy recently posted about pretty plates and it got me to thinking about my own dish sitch. Continue reading
Fall always makes me want to nest. You too? Here are a few small vignettes around our apartment that I snapped today that are making me smile. It’s really the little things, isn’t it?
Beautiful roses, given to me by the lovely people at Glade for hosting the Emmy’s viewing party, sprucing up my vintage bar cart.
Striped straws make any drink more fun, don’t you think, even if they do get soggy.
Audrey, my new Prada glasses I couldn’t resist getting after hosting an event at ILORI, on a favorite cake plate (that I just knocked off of the table and broke as I typed this — thankfully there are more at World Market — oy!) and a lion-adorned clutch from Nila Anthony that came as a surprise in the mail yesterday (and which I will probably accidentally spill red wine on tonight).
This little piggy…and some lovely handwritten notes I received this week.
Snail mail is the best, isn’t it?
Do you have any favorite little vignettes, moments or pieces around your house that make you smile?
I love shopping for vintage furniture and decor, and my favorite places to do just that are spots like Past Perfect in San Francisco, which features multiple different sellers under one roof (in individual booths or mini-showrooms in the store), but where the checkout process goes through one person. You get the benefits of curated shopping with the thrill of the hunt for a find. I’ve long wished for something like that to exist online. So when Chairish popped onto the scene — the new home decor site that’s like the love child between 1stdibs and Craigslist — I was a happy girl.
I first became smitten with Gray Malin’s work when Damsel posted about it. Featuring aerial photographs of far-flung locales, Gray Malin is the Massimo Vitali of our generation.
So I was over the moon to find out that Gray Malin launched a wallpaper collection with Black Crow Studios. Here are my favorites and where you can get it. Continue reading
