I’m excited to share a tour of our banana leaf bedroom! Plus, show you a peek of our backyard at our first Palm Springs home, Casa Golightly!

As with the living room and dining room, the main bedroom also had a blue statement wall. The other walls were white, so we added a little pattern and fun with banana leaf bedding.

Tip: You can find similar banana leaf bedding here.

You know I love the classic banana leaf pattern and all things palm print!

I also loved all the natural light this room got, however, for privacy, we added custom drapes.

A neutral upholstered bed, 60s-inspired blush pink lamps, and glossy white nightstands with Greek fretwork completed the scene.

Each morning, I always loved pulling open the curtains and opening the sliding glass doors to let the outdoors in. Indoor/outdoor living is the best part of living in Palm Springs, after all!

Tip: You can find our modern white pool chaises here.

The master bedroom looked out to the pool, which was a lovely way to wake up.

(The bedroom is behind those sliding glass doors on the right.)

It also had beautiful mountain views, which could also be seen from the living room and dining room.

But back to the bedroom…

We kept things very simple, with the only other furniture being white Hollywood Regency-inspired nightstands and this glossy white lacquer 3-drawer dresser.

While a TV lived on top most of the time, when it came time to staging the house for sale, I styled the dresser with a few books and fun accessories like this duck leg mirror.

This playful gold duck mirror and swan jewelry holder fit the bill.

 Pun so intended.

We also hung a piece of Fred Baby art above the dresser.

I love this piece: Joshua Tree Shimmer.

Tip: Use your favorite fashion pieces as decor!

We also added a bench at the end of the bed.

Here are the white Hollywood Regency nightstands with Greek Key fretwork.

This striped bench played up the Beverly Hills Hotel vibe of the banana leaf bedding.

Tip: Here is where you can find a similar black-and-white striped bench.

I should note that for staging we moved this queen sized bed (similar bed here + here) from the guest room into the main bedroom to make the room feel bigger.

The bed we had in this room most of the time was this upholstered bed, which you may remember from Girls Night In with Kaylee!

p.s. Oh, and as for the weekend, Kristen came to visit. It was so nice to catch up, watch old movies (finally saw All About Eve – OMG, so good!), play ping pong, swim and enjoy the hot tub (even though I did get stung by a bee, or rather, I stung the bee accidentally — sorry bee!). David and Stacie Flinner popped by too and it was fun to hear about their around-the-world trip. It’s always great meeting online friends in real life, plus it brought back great memories of the time Fred Baby and did our own sabbatical. Time to do that again? We’ll see…
