Happy FriYAY! How are you doing? Any fun weekend plans? What we’re up to + some weekend links, including how to help with the wildfires!
This week was weird. I find myself saying that a lot these days as the world seems bananas. I’m sure I’m not the only one with disaster fatigue. But to the people going through the disasters, that seems very insensitive to say. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss the days where I could keep my head in a bubble. I’ve slipped on the banana peel and the bubble has burst.
That, compiled with some sad family news, plus sleeping through most of the week, has had me a little out of sorts, but I’m optimistic things will get better.
I’m not exactly sure what the weekend holds, but I know we have a shoot to do, plus I have a super fun project that I’m in the beginning stages of brainstorming and designing. I can’t wait to share that with you soon!
Until then, some fun weekend reading + a few ways to help with the wildfires.
My friend Gray Malin’s new book is out + I can’t wait to escape into it.
THESE sparkly boots are at the top of my wishlist!
Speaking of shoes, check out that heel.
This colorful home tour brightened my day.
My friend Caroline started a new podcast, Out of Line, featuring online personalities sharing offline realities. Just listened to the interview with Justina Blakeney + loved it. Now listening to Elsie Larson!
Last week I said it was Christopher’s new studio opening. Oops — it’s actually THIS weekend! Saturday 4-8pm, 901 N Palm Canyon Drive. Hope to see you there!
My friend Grasie posted about her experience doing Whole 30. Check it out if you’ve been thinking about doing it or easing into AIP.
Plus, another reader let me know on Instagram about Marissa Patrick of @chickaboomvintage who is working around the clock to volunteer to help with the wildfires. You can help her buy supplies to donate to local shelters by donating money via PayPal to her at this email address: email@example.com. Marissa shares, “I’ve been collecting donations and buying what’s needed for each shelter. 100% of donations go to supplies.” So far she’s raised $2000 and delivered food, blowup beds, pillows, etc. Bravo!
Thank you Insta-fam for all of the great resources, you really do make a HUGE difference xo!
